  • Access Denied (MSWindows)

"Cannot (rename/delete/move) this folder: Access is denied.

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use."

i've checked the file and the disk. neither full nor write-protected. kung in use sya, hindi ko ma-trace kung aling program. i've shutdown and restarted my pc, ganun pa rin. makalat tuloy yung drives ko kasi may mga files and folders na hindi ko magalaw. please help. TIA.

good day, jose! if you are using windows XP, check your profile if you were given "administrator's access". go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->User Accounts to check your access. kung ang profile mo ay may administrator's access, run anti-virus scan. update mo muna ang anti-virus mo bago mo i-open.

      Re: Access Denied (MSWindows)

      Jose,

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use."

nangyari na rin kasi sa akin ito...

          JOSE! ^_^

Minsan ganyan talaga ang Windows Explorer. Whenever I encounter that, I just restart my system then redo what should've been done, then voila!

salamat jeff, bonnie, bingo at bouie. i've checked and tried the scenarios/options you all mentioned pero ganun pa rin. actually hindi naman siya malaking problem kaya lang concerned ako kasi medyo nagiging makalat yung WinEx ko. this happened both in my home laptop and office pc. i have administrative access in both units and updated ang mga anti-virus(symantec). baka may iba pang ways na available? thanks a lot guys.

              Jose,

Ibig sabihin there is something wrong with your unit talaga, kung naka administrative account ka at ganon parin, malaki ang possiblities na me virus ang pc mo, pare eto bigyan kita ng antivirus, libre galing AOL, proven ko na yan, compare sa avg at ibang antivirus like symantec etc. Kahit virus na nasa site, i oopen mo pa lang ang site, detected na nya na me trojan o virus ang site na inoopen mo. Try mo pare.

donwload mo lang sya den install mo, den update mo lang pare.

                Re: Access Denied (MSWindows)

                Jose,

Try mo tong solution na ibibigay ko sayo, suppose you want to delete a folder then sabihin sayo, "you are not allowed to delete the folder".

                gawin mo ito

                1) right click mo ang folder na gusto mong i delete

                2) then clik mo yong "SHARING AND SECURITY" then me lalabas na info about sa folder

                3) click or chek mo yong option na "share this folder in the network"
then sigurado sa first attempt mo na iclik o chek yong option na yon, lalabas ulit yong error message na "you are not allowed to delete the folder".

                4) ulitin mo i chek ulit the 2nd time around para ma chek yong "share this folder in the network" under the box of network sharing & security, sigurado ma che chekan mo na yan.

                    Ciao Pare!
